Area Sports Results From Tuesday, October 30th

High School Basketball Begins

Southwestern and Shawe both opened the girls basketball season on Tuesday.

Southwestern defeated Clarksville 54-15 in the opening round of the Henryville Tip-Off Classic. Abby Ralston led the Lady Rebels with 21. Then we had Ellie Foley and Ashton Goode with 9.

Shawe lost 58-24 at Lanesville. Abigail Hill led the Lady Toppers with 11pts and Kate Grote 9pts. Lina Leatherman contributed 6 rebounds.

The Lady Rebels host Henryville tomorrow night while Shawe will host 1A #6 Jac-Cen-Del on Tuesday.

 

Both Hanover Women and Men’s Soccer Teams will play for the HCAC Championship on Saturday at home. The #14 ranked women defeated Anderson 2-0 will host Mt. St. Joseph at 11 for the title. The men got a goal Ethan Miller in the 84th minute to defeat Manchester 1-0. Panthers will host Transylvania for the championship at 2.
