ESPN Airs Documentary On Jared Lorenzen's Battle With Obesity

The "Hefty Lefty's"

Former Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen's battle with obesity is getting national attention. 

ESPN aired a documentary last night chronicling the "Hefty Lefty's" weight-loss journey. 

Lorenzen said he decided to go public with his weight-loss battle to be the face of obesity. 

The 37-year-old weighed as much as 300 pounds while quarterbacking the Wildcats between 2000 and 2003 and reached 500 pounds after his playing career.

After changing his eating habits and starting to workout last summer Lorenzen has lost nearly 85 pounds.
