Hanover College Football #9 In NCAA DIII North Region Rankings

Hanover Hughes Offensive Player of The Year

The second NCAA DIII Football regional rankings released prior to the final games of the regular season this weekend. The Hanover College Panthers come in at #9 in the North Region. One more ranking will be done after the conclusion on contests on Saturday to prepare the National Tournament Selection Committee for the tournament selections on Sunday. Hanover will be making their second NCAA DIII tournament appearance in a row after claiming the HCAC outright title last Saturday. The Panthers close out the regular season Saturday at home against Franklin in the 89th Victory Bell game at 1:30.

Josh Hughes of Hanover College was selected as the HCAC Offensive Men’s Soccer Player of the Year. The junior posted seven goals and nine assists in 2019 for 23 points overall, leading the Panthers to a 12-5-1 mark on the year, capturing the regular season conference champions title, with an 8-1 record in league play. Panthers take on University of Rochester (N.Y.) in the opening round of the NCAA DIII Tournament Saturday,1:30 at Kenyon College in Ohio.
