Hanover College Men And Women Defeat Anderson University On Wednesday

Both Panther teams in 2nd at the end of the HCAC first half of the season

Both the Hanover College men and women's basketball teams hold down 2nd place in the HCAC after both pick up wins against Anderson University to close out the first half of the conference season.

The women hold on in the final seconds to defeat the Ravens at home 65-63. Alexis Nall with 20, former Madison Lady Cub, Katie Hartman finishes with 14 and former Switzerland Co. Lady Pacer, Brooke Todd added 11. Panthers are 9-6 on the season and 8-1 on game behind HCAC leader Transylvania.

The men after being tied at 28 at half rallied to outscore Anderson 37-25 to take a 65-53 win on the road. Conner Washburn came off the bench to score a team high 18 and Matt Weimer also came off the bench to add 11. Panthers are now 12-4 overall and 6-3 two games back of conference leader Franklin.

Both men and women will open the second half of the HCAC season on Saturday at home hosting Defiance College with the women playing at 1pm and the men at 3pm.
