BASEBALL:

Shawe 5, Rising Sun 4

Shawe Memorial headed to Rising Sun Friday night for an ORVC tilt and came away with a 5-4 victory.  Philip Kahn started on the mound and got the win going 6 & 1/3 innings allowing 4 runs, 3 earned while striking out 7. He allowed 6 hits.  Tyler Hill earned the save in relief.

At the plate, Jacob Hertz was 2/3 with a double and an RBI.  Philip Kahn had a double and 2 RBIs .  He stole home.  Jacob Hart had 2 hits and an RBI.

Casey Hill and Zach Gish each had a single.

Southwestern 13, Shawe 1

Shawe Memorial returned home Saturday to face ORVC rival Southwestern. Unfortunately they were on the losing end of a 13-1 decision.  Trae Liston started on the mound and took the loss going 2 &2/3 innings allowing 11 runs on 5 hits while walking 4 and hitting 2.  Ryker Brooks went 2 &1/3 allowing 2 runs and 2 hits while walking 2.

 The Hilltoppers had 3 hits.  Jacob Hertz, Philip Kahn and Tyler Hill each had singles.  Tyler Hill had the lone RBI.

Madison Boys bowed out the Sectional following a loss to Shelbyville 3-0
