Quote From Head Coach Jake Shockley : These aren't quite the results we were looking for after a mostly positive round yesterday, but we had a late night, yesterday. I had a suspicion that today might've been a little rough on the tail end of a back-to-back.

However, getting a win against Columbus East is a good win for us, and we're 6-0 in the regular season. We'll just keep grinding to get better and do our best.

I'm really happy with the junior varsity girls. They are showing improvement, they're attitudes around the course are great, and they're having fun out there. That will carry them a long way into the future.

A little over 10 minutes into the game there was a hand ball inside their box. Harlee Turner converted the penalty kick. The Lions held off our attacks until under 2:40 to go in the half when Amelia Sloan put the ball in the back of the net. Less than a minute later, Harlee added the final goal of the half. Our goalie, Katja Pretorius, had to come out so Harlee and Molly Bruce split the position in the second half. The Lions were kind and also played down a player. We switched up our players to give some rest. Emma Hatton came up from our central defender to forward. Emma finished the scoring with 2 goals and she and Amelia helped create passing for all of our team throughout the attacking third.
