BASEBALL: 

South Ripley 7, Shawe 5

Shawe Memorial returned to action Wednesday night against ORVC rival South Ripley. Unfortunately, they dropped a 7-5 decision on Senior Night.

Philip Kahn started on the mound and was tagged with the loss allowing 7 runs, 5 earned in 7 innings.  He gave up 10 hits while striking out 5.

At the plate, the Hilltoppers were led by Jacob Hertz who was 2/2  with an RBI. Philip Kahn and Tyler Hill each knocked in 2 runs on singles.

Casey Hill added 2 singles.  Shawe Baseball honored seniors Ryker Brooks, Zach Gish, Casey Hill, Jacob Hertz and Philip Kahn

Madison was led by wins from #2 singles Ruby Willoughby, # 3 singles Claire Slygh, And number 2 Doubles Peighton Mundt and Olivia Scroggins.  

Shawe was led by 1S: Sarah Willhite W 6-2, 6-2 2S: Kelly McClure L 5-7, 2-6 3S: Megan Morrison L 5-7, 2-6 1D: Julia Leatherman and Nora May W 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 2D: Gaby Cabrales and Samara Duquette L 6-4, 4-6, 4-6

Track and Field: 

Southwestern Girls 4x800 team of Sophie Ford, Olivia Simpson, Addison Nussbaum Tori Gammons qualified for regionals at the Jeffersonville Sectional!

GOLF:

Southwestern Boys Golf competed at Westwood Golf Course tonight in Scottsburg. Jennings Co. came away with the win with a team score of 155. Scottsburg was 2nd with a 157 and Southwestern 3rd with a 168. Jackson Taylor was the medalist on the night shooting 37 (two over par). Overall it was a good night and we are looking to be in great form heading into the ORVC Tournament this weekend.
