senior night. Southwestern hosted Trinity Lutheran and began well, passing, hustling, and playing as a team. We had a few good chances at their goal and ended the first half 0-0. Without subs we were tired. The game ended as a 0-5 loss. Tonight we celebrated our exchange student, Trinh Tu and our seniors, Isabella Schafer, Brianna Johnson, Jaclyn Jackson and Adrea Earl.

Madison Girls Golfer Aleigh Wilson was selected to the IHSGCA Academic All-State team. Unlike other sports, only 15 players are chosen for boys and girls golf. It's an elite honor.

Harlee Hill had 18 kills, 14 digs, and 2 aces on 14 for 14 serving, Rorie Scroggins had 12 kills and 1 block, Allison Birchfield had 11 kills on 16 for 19 hitting and added 4 aces on 15 for 17 serving, Jenna Owens was 23 for 24 serving with 7 aces and added 16 digs.
Quote from Head Coach Chris Johnson: It was a slow start for our offense tonight. The first set we had 11 hitting errors and just couldn't find our swings. I think things started to come around for us toward the end of the second set and into the third. Our hitters started finding more openings and found the floor more often. Defensively, we were fairly solid throughout the match and our service game was outstanding. We went 86 for 89 serving as a team with 17 aces. Good communication helped us out during the match and I thought Allison really led us on the court with a very solid all around game tonight. Southwestern is currently 14-9
