Milan Aquatics Wins SEISA Summer Swimming Conference

(Milan, Ind.) - Nearly 300 swimmers converged at the Jennings County Pool in North Vernon on Saturday for the SEISA Summer Conference.

The competitive swimming conference has been an annual event since 1976, giving thousands of boys and girls the opportunity to participate in the sport of swimming.

This year, eight teams comprised of swimmers ages 5-18 took to the pool.

Four the fourth time in conference history, a Milan team (Milan Aquatics) captured the team title with its roster of 39 boys and girls.

Milan placed first with a score of 1737. The rest of the standings went as follows:

  • 2) Batesville Swim 1648, 3) Decatur County 1593, 4) Hidden Valley Gators 995, 5) Southwestern Aquatic Team 764, 6) South Dearborn Sea Dragons 506, 7) Jennings County 364, 8) Switzerland County 215.

Milan had 12 individual winners. They are Elizabeth McKittrick, Dylan Thomas (two meet records), Tracey Franklin, Ross Lieland, Taylor Stock, Caiden Felver, Lindsey Franklin, Harrison Hileman, Alaina Stock, Kami Laws, Brody Stock, and Scarlett Beiser.

Milan Aquatics is coached by Steve Stock and Tori Haessig.
