Postponements and Cancellations by Major Sports Around The World

Here is a list of major sports around the world that have announced some sort of change or cancellation due to the corona virus:

NASCAR: Atlanta 500 on March 15, and the Miami 400 on March 22 will be held with no spectators.


MLB: Preseason that was supposed to start yesterday has been canceled. Regular season that was due to start on March 26 has been postponed.


NBA has been suspended indefinitely since Wednesday. Two members of the Utah Jazz tested positive for the virus (Rudy Gobert and Donavon Mitchell).


In Golf, the Players Championship in Florida has officially been cancelled after just the 1st day yesterday, and PGA Tour has been suspended for the next 3 weeks. The Masters Tournament has been postponed as well.


NHL announced the suspension of the NHL indefinitely as of yesterday.


The Boston Marathon has been cancelled.


In Soccer, the Champions League, the English Premier League, and the Europa League have postponed a handful of matches, matches that are being played will be played with no spectators.


In Tennis, both the ATP Mens Tour, and the WTA Women’s Tour have been suspended through the entirety of April.


The NCAA has taken action to cancel all sports effective immediately, including the men’s and women’s Division I Basketball Tournaments in March.
