The Second Season Of Indiana High School Boys Basketball Begins On Tuesday

Our broadcast has Clarksville at Southwestern at 5:45

The 110th Annual IHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament begins Tuesday for three of our local area teams:

Southwestern will tip off first at 6pm as they host Clarksville. Madison will take on Salem at Corydon at 7 and Shawe battles West Washington at Edinburgh at 7:30. 95.3 WIKI will carry the Southwestern-Clarksville game starting at 5:45 with Larry & Rob.

The Rebels are looking for their third sectional title in a row. Southwestern is 11-11 against the Generals since the 97-98 season when they met in the first round of the sectional (March 3, 1998 at SW final 60-39).

The Rebels and Clarksville did not meet this year but Southwestern has won the last two.

Madison did not face Salem this year. Last time the Cubs and Lions played was December 30, 2016 and Salem won 79-55. Madison is 16-7 since 1993-1994 season. The two teams have met in the sectional three times with the Cubs winning all three games the last being March 3, 2015.

Madison has not won a sectional title since 2006-2007 season.

Shawe also did not face their first round opponent this season but lost to the Senators in the sectional last year. Hilltoppers are 0-2 against West Washington with the last meeting last year.

Shawe has not won a section since the 2010-2011 season which was the second of two in a row.
