More Information (95.3 WIKI is not responsible for external websites)

A performance piece explores the power of song as a revolutionary tool. Gaddar, a poet-singer associated with Indian resistance movements, is seen as a cultural revolution himself. The piece asks if his songs can be a revolution, a sentiment echoed in the title "Can a Song Be a Revolution?" This experimental performance combines Gaddar's songs with jazz and hip-hop to explore caste, art, and social change for an American audience.
