(Versailles, Ind.) - Larry Webster II was in Ripley County Circuit Court this week for his initial appearance in an attempted murder case.
Webster, 46, has been charged with Attempted Murder (Level 1 Felony) stemming from an alleged attack on an Indiana State Police Sergeant on November 19, 2025.
During his initial appearance in court, Webster's bond was set at $5 million.
According to court documents, Webster allegedly attacked and assaulted the ISP Sergeant, causing serious injury.
The alleged attack to place after Webster was reportedly involved in a crash at the intersection of U.S. 421 and Michigan Road in Jefferson County. Investigators say he intentionally stuck and minivan and ran over the driver as he stood outside the vehicle, before fleeing the scene.
Webster faces separate charges in Jefferson County.
