Clean Up Begins After Thursday Storms

Power still being restored

There's cleanup work to do across Indiana and Kentucky after a round of storms left some people without power and others with tree limbs in their yards. 

Forecasters say a powerful round of storms cut across the state yesterday evening and into last night.

Over 2,000 Duke Energy Customers in Jefferson Co. were without power after the storm and as of 5 this morning over 800 still without.

In Trimble Co. HWY 421 was closed between Mt. Pleasant and Gatewood Lane for several hours with power lines and trees down.

Southeastern Indiana REMC also reporting over 200 members in Jefferson Co. without power.
