Eleven Recent Arrest Made by Scott County Sheriff's Office

All arrests were made for different charges.

(Scott County, Ind.) - Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies made over eleven arrests recently all for various crimes.

The arrest goes as follows.

On January 31, 2020, Deputy Skylar Thompson conducted a traffic stop in Austin. During this investigation, Brian Rice, 52, of Lexington was arrested for the Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

February 1, 2020, Allan Vest, 32, of Hanover was arrested for Driving While Suspended. This arrest was made by Deputies Christopher Bowling and Keith Hartman.

February 1, Deputy John Hartman responded to an accident in rural Scott County, where after investigation Brittany Engle, 32, of Crothersville was arrested on the charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

 February 3, 2020, Deputy John Hartman checked a male walking on South US 31. Adam Ingle, 40, of Scottsburg was then arrested for an out of county warrant. Ingle then received additional charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, False Informing, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Possession of a Schedule I, II, III, or IV Controlled Substance and Possession or Use of Legend Drug.

February 3, 2020, Deputy Zach Brown conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County. Leading to the arrest of Jonah Clark, 24, of French Lick on the charges of Driving While Suspended Prior.

February 3, 2020, Deputy Johnney Coomer conducted a traffic stop in Austin leading to the arrest of three people on drug-related charges.  David Dotson, 55, of Austin was arrested for Driving While Suspended Prior, Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana with a Prior Conviction. 

Ima Pearson, 45, of Austin was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana with a Prior Conviction, Visiting a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia. 

Melinda Mcvey, 49, of Austin was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana with a Prior Conviction, Visiting a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia.

On February 4, Deputies Johnney Croomer and Skylar Thompson were dispatched to an accident in rural Scott County, further investigation led to the arrest of Mitchell Keown,33, of Scottsburg on the charges of Public Intoxication.

February 5, Deputies Johnney Croomer and Skylar Thompson responded to a disturbance in rural Scott County. Upon arrival and after investigation the deputies arrested Robert Knight, 46, of Scottsburg for Battery to a Public Official and Resisting Law Enforcement.

February 5, Deputy Skylar Thompson conducted a traffic stop in Austin, after further investigation, it lead to the arrest of Trevor Zachary, 32, of Scottsburg for Driving While Suspended Prior.

*All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
