(Indiana) - Dust off those fishing poles because Sunday is the first of four days in which Indiana residents can fish in the state's public waters.

As the coronavirus pandemic keeps us in the house this is a good time to go out and enjoy the nice weather that the weekend is bringing. Take the family bonding outdoors, but make sure you keep your social distance between other fishers.

On Free Fishing Days, all Indiana residents can fish in public waters without a fishing license or a salmon/trout stamp.

The days for this year are this Sunday, May 3, along with June 6 & 7, and September 26.

Children 17 and under do not need a license to fish on any day, making Free Fish Days a prime time for a family outing.
