Former Assistant Madison Jr High Coach Arrested

Fox Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

 

                                        

On February 29th, 2024, the Madison Police Department, as part of the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, received a Cybertip though the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. This information led to Madison Police Department Detectives securing a search warrant for the suspect’s residence.

Detectives were able to locate the suspect, identified as Kevin M. Fox 30 y/o in the residence. Based on information contained in the Cybertip, along with information obtained during the investigation, Fox was arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.

Madison Consolidated Schools was made aware of the arrest last night. The district confirmed that Fox was a former junior high assistant coach and his responsibilities with the district concluded at the end of the fall season last year and is no longer employed with the district. “It is important to us that we are transparent and share what we can with our families as situations arise,” stated Dr. Teresa Brown, Superintendent.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with further information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Madison Police Department at 812-265-3347. This investigation is being led by Det. Cutshaw. Assistance during the investigation was given by the Madison Consolidated Schools Resource Officers, Indiana State Police, and the Jefferson County Prosecutors Office.

Fox has a presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law but currently faces the following charges:

Possession of Child Pornography-Level 5 Felony

Possession of Child Pornography-Level 6 Felony
