Arrest Stem from a Traffic Stop

Tuesday, @ approximately 5:00 PM, Madison Police Patrolman Jared Sweet executed a traffic stop on Vaughn Drive for speeding. The subsequent circumstances following the stop led to the discovery of methamphetamine.
Logan L. Edgington 20, Hanover, Indiana, a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia associated with the use of narcotics.
Edgington was taken into custody without incident and faces preliminary alleged charges of; possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony and possession of paraphernalia class "C" misdemeanor. The driver, and another occupant in the vehicle, were not charged.
Logan L. Edgington has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
