Historic Madison Inc Offering Tour of Homes

Thru the months of May and June

HMI will have many tours available to the public throughout May and June. All of these tours will not require advanced registration. Visitors should show up at a site a few minutes before the scheduled time and a guide will be ready to collect fees and give a tour! 

The Shrewsbury-Windle House will have scheduled tours on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 1:30 PM.  The Shrewsbury-Windle House will be closed on June 9th and 10th and not available for tours.

The Schroeder Saddletree Factory will reopen for tours on May 1st. Scheduled tours will be on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 10 AM.

The Costigan House will have tours on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 3 PM.   

Dr. Hutchings’ Office will have tours on Mondays and Fridays at 11:30 AM. 

The Sullivan House will have tours on Mondays and Fridays at 3 PM.

The architectural walking tours return for the summer as well. There will be tours starting at the northern end of the Broadway Fountain at 10 AM on May 6, May 20, June 3, and June 17. 

Private tours outside of the scheduled programs will remain available for all the HMI sites with more than 48 hours notice. Group tours are available as well, but two weeks notice is required.
