The crash investigation is ongoing and will be completed by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the “Hit and Run” motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the 3600 block of Interstate Block Rd.
While on patrol, Deputies Garner and Spry located a subject laying the roadway. The 35-year-old male pedestrian stated that he was struck from behind while walking on the edge of the roadway.
The victim was unable to provide any description of the vehicle or suspect. Initially, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office had a possible lead on a dark-colored SUV believed to be a Jeep.
However, the lead was followed up on and the vehicle was not involved in this
incident. The victim was transported from the scene for medical attention. The victim, at the time of this press release, has been treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the collision.
