Jefferson Co. Animal Shelter Reopening By Appointment Only

Anybody who enters must wear a mask and social distance as much as possible.

(Jefferson County, Ind.) - If you are looking for a new furry friend to add to your home, the Jefferson County Animal shelter can help. 

The shelter will be reopening soon, but they will only be open by appointment only. The shelter is asking that you review the animals on their website to determine which would be the best fit for your family before coming in. 

The shelter is also adding a few restrictions for those who are interested in coming into the shelter, at this time they are only allowing two family members in the shelter at a time. Anybody who enters must wear a mask and social distance as much as possible. 

When entering the building you will be instructed to wash your hands.
