Jefferson Co. Courthouse Announces Plan For Reopening

(Jefferson County, Ind.) - As the state is beginning to re-open as part of Gov. Holcomb's back on track plan, the Jefferson County Courthouse has announced their plans for reopening their offices. 

While we are in stage two of the plan, which will run until May 23, some offices in the courthouse will be open for appointment only at this time. 

Those offices are as follows:

  • Assessor
  • Auditor
  • Clerk 
  • Health Department
  • Probation
  • Prosecutor
  • Purdue Extension Office
  • Recorder
  • Soil and Water
  • Surveyor, and 
  • Treasurer

While those offices are appointment only. Other offices are open for walk-in and appointment, those offices are as follows:

  • Veteran Service Offices, and 
  • Court Services- limited to 2 people entering at a time

It is asked by the courthouse when you are coming to the county buildings for appointments, masks are highly recommended to be worn by the public.
