Jefferson Co. Health Department Hosting A Drive Thru Flu Clinic

If you will be attending the clinic, it is asked that you bring your insurance card with you.

(Madison, Ind.) – As we are getting closer to flu season, the Jefferson County Health Department is making it easier than ever for residents to receive their flu shots.

On Friday, October 9, from noon until 6:00 p.m., the Jefferson County Health Department in partnership with the Indiana Immunization Coalition will be hosting a drive-thru flu clinic for all ages.

If you will be attending the clinic, it is asked that you bring your insurance card with you.

The drive-thru clinic will be at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 3767 W S.R. 256, Madison, Ind. Once at the fairgrounds, you will be instructed to enter through gate 1 and follow the signs.

“Getting a flu vaccine this fall can reduce your risk of getting the flu and help save scarce medical resources needed to care for people with COVID-19. It’s important for everyone to do their part to stay healthy this flu season,” stated the Jefferson County Health Department.

To help prevent the spread of the flu and other respiratory illnesses residents should:

  • Mask up: cover your nose and mouth with a mask when out in public
  • Lather up: Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
  • Sleeve up: Roll up your sleeve to get a flu shot.

The more people vaccinated against the flu; the more people protected from the flu.
