Jefferson County Board of Tourism Announces: Shields for Safety

The Jefferson County board of tourism is excited to be part of this effort in assisting local tourism businesses by being able to provide safe services.

(Madison, Ind.) – On Friday, the Jefferson County Board of Tourism, in coordination with Visit Madison Inc., announced a downtown and county-wide businesses can now receive free face shields.

If your business is need of face shields, businesses can pick the Lanthier Winery located at 123 Mill Street, the winery is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

With supplies being limited, businesses can also reserve face shields by emailing tamihagemier@gmail.com. When emailing it is asked that you place Attention: JCBT Face Shields, in the subject line. It is also asked that you provide the name of your business and the number of staff who need shields.

The Jefferson County board of tourism is excited to be part of this effort in assisting local tourism businesses by being able to provide safe and comfortable curbside services as well as being a county-wide safe opening.

Visit Madison Executive Tourism Director, Tawana Thomas stated, “I continue to be inspired by every single business owner here in Jefferson County. From our Main Street shops to our hilltop businesses, these business owners have gone above and beyond to ensure safety measures are in place for their community. In a time where uncertainty and fear could easily be all-consuming, these phenomenal people show up and do whatever it takes to get the job done. They are exceptional.”
