Jennings Co. Sheriff's Office Giving Reward For Info On Escaped Felon

On December 10, Bowe was taken into custody in the evening hours on an arrest warrant for a felony narcotics violation.

(Jennings County, Ind.) – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $200.00 reward for any leading information in their search for 53-year-old David Bowe.

On December 10, Bowe was taken into custody in the evening hours on an arrest warrant for a felony narcotics violation at his mother’s home in the County Squire Lakes subdivision.

During the arrest of Bowe, drug-related items were found in the outbuilding that he was hiding in. Bowe was properly handcuffed and placed into the back seat of a patrol vehicle, secured in the seat belt. All of the vehicle doors were locked and closed and were unable to be unlocked from the inside.

When the arresting officer went back to the outbuilding to speak with another deputy about the collection of drug evidence, he returned to his vehicle to find Bowe was no longer in the vehicle.

A footprint was found in the back seat of the police vehicle indicating that Bowe has gotten out of his seatbelt and climbed over the front seat and unlocked the front door.

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office is asking for information leading to the escape of Bowe. If you have any information you are asked to contact the Jennings County Dispatch at (812) 346 4911 with any information.
