Kentucky State Police Conduct Death Investigation in Gallatin County

Warsaw, KY. (September 06, 2021) – On Monday September 06, 2021 at approximately 1145 am Kentucky State Police Post 5 troopers and detectives responded to Steeles Bottom Road to assist the Gallatin County Sheriff's Department in reference to a deceased male located inside a vehicle off the roadway that may have been involved in a collision. 

The operator of the vehicle, James Beach a 56 year old male from Warsaw Kentucky, had previously been entered as missing by the Gallatin County Sheriff's Department. The Gallatin County Coroner responded to the scene and pronounced James Beach deceased.

The preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle exited the roadway for a reason that is not yet known.  At this time drugs are believed to be a possible contributing factor.

The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police Post 5 detectives. Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by the Warsaw Police Department, Gallatin County EMS, Gallatin County Fire Department, and the Gallatin County Coroner.
