Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Owen County

Around 7:12 p.m. yesterday, Post 5 dispatch was notified of a two-vehicle collision with injuries on US 127 south.

(Owen County, Ky.) - The Kentucky State Police at Post 5 in Campbellsburg is investigating a two-vehicle collision in Owen County that resulted in the death of a Covington, Kentucky man.

Around 7:12 p.m. yesterday, Post 5 dispatch was notified of a two-vehicle collision with injuries on US 127 south.

From the preliminary investigation, troopers found that a vehicle traveling south swerved to miss two deer.  As a result, the vehicle struck another vehicle traveling north.  The southbound driver, Mr. Joshua Rembert, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Owen County coroner.
