Kentucky State Police Investigating Death in Henry County

Cause of Death has not been determined pending further investigation

                                       

CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky. (01/08/2025) –The Kentucky State Police is investigating the death of a woman found laying in the parking lot of the Campbellsburg Dollar General Store. 

Post 5 Troopers and Detectives responded to a 911 call at 6:29 am on Wednesday, January 8. Upon arrival, investigators located a woman who was found to be unresponsive.  The Henry County Coroner pronounced 56 yo Rebecca Skeen, of Smithfield, deceased at the scene.  The cause of death has yet to be determined and is pending further investigation.

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by KSP Post 5.  KSP Post 5 detectives and troopers were assisted on scene by Henry County EMS and the Henry County Coroner.
