Toward subjects on the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry.

On November 23, 2019, the Kentucky State Police Post 5 located in Campbellsburg, has received multiple calls from registered sex offenders. The phone calls are scams for money.

Kentucky State Police Troopers in Campbellsburg have received several calls tonight from people on the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry. Those who are registered are telling Troopers they are receiving calls telling them they have missed a court date. Later in the conversation the caller will tell them they need to pay money and they will take the payment over the phone. Some are also being told they need to report to Post 5 for an ankle monitor.

These calls are a scam to take advantage these individuals. If anyone has received such a call, contact your local state police post or your local police.
