KYTC US 42 Project Is Now Complete

Started in 2016

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Dist 6 US 42 widening project in Carroll County is now complete. 

The $13.4 million project started the summer of 2016.

The project began at Four Mile Road extending east to the Ghent city limits.

Two bridges were constructed, one over McCools Creek and the other structure that now carries industrial traffic over US 42 a North American Steel.

Additional lanes were added to improve mobility for industrial and regular traffic on US 42.
