(Madison, Ind.) – Every year eager campers get their supplies ready to go out and visit Clifty Falls State Park.

For those campers who have not visited the ground before usual have many questions, this is where campground hosts come into play.

For the past two years, Rick and Rebecca Worley have served as campground hosts at Clifty Falls. They greet campers, help answer quick questions, pick up trash, and clean out fire rings.

The Worley’s also assist the Nature Center staff by greeting guests, making sugar water for hummingbird feeders, cleaning, and much more.

The two were recognized by the falls and Indiana Department of Natural Resources for volunteering over 200 hours last year during their 2.5 months of hosting.

Campground hosts are vital members of the recreational season teams around Indiana. Hosts receive free camping in exchange for at least 20 hours of volunteer service each week.
