Madison-Jefferson Co. Animal Shelter Pets Of The Week

By Madison-Jefferson Co. Animal Shelter

Scout and Sox

Scout Pit Bull Mix

1-3 years   Male

I'm a big friendly boy that loves to play! I do pull on the leash, but with a little training I can break that bad habit. I do well with other dogs. I was tested with cats while they were in their cage. I was happy and wagging my tail, so the shelter thinks I would do fine in a home with cats. Although if a cat runs I'm not going to guarantee that I won't chase it! I'm a big boy so I would need a home with plenty of room to run, or be able to go on walks regularly.

My adoption fee is $30 plus the cost of my neuter and rabies vaccination at the vet of your choice.

Sox -- DSH

1 year   Male

I'm a playful and loving young man.
Like all cats though, I like to nap through out the day.
A window would be nice for me to nap in, or a lap to curl up on and purr.
I'm neutered, so my adoption fee is $45 plus the cost of a rabies vaccination at the vet of your choice.

The Animal Shelter would like to thank everyone for their continued support through programs such as Kroger Community Rewards and donations to the medical fund through our can recycling.  Aluminum cans may be dropped off at the east end of the shelter in the blue bin.  To sign up for Kroger Community Rewards, go to and enter organization FL919, or search us by the name Madison Jefferson Co Animal Shelter.

The shelter is currently in need of canned cat food.
