Traffic Stop led to Arrest

Friday, Madison Police arrested Jerry D. Pike 55, Madison, John W. Roberts 56, Madison and Maxine J. Uebel 43, Madison, on narcotic charges.
Madison Police Patrolman Curtis Shelpman executed a traffic stop, on a vehicle driven by Pike, in the 2100 block of Lanier Drive. The passengers in Pike's vehicle were identified as Roberts and Uebel. A driving status check on Pike found his driver's license to be suspended.
Madison Police Officer Ben Flint, and his K-9 partner MEKO were summoned to the scene of the stop. MEKO conducted an open air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert for the presence of narcotics. During the subsequent search, officers located several packages containing a white crystal type substance which tested positive as methamphetamine. In addition, officers located syringes, and paraphernalia associated with the use of drugs.
Jerry D. Pike faces preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony, and possession of a syringe L-6 felony.
John W. Roberts faces a preliminary alleged charge of possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony
Maxine J. Uebel faces preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony and possession of paraphanailia class C misdemeanor.
Pike, Uebel, and Roberts have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty. Lt. Season Jackson and Patrolman Josh Nolan assisted with the investigation.
