Madison Water Department Issues Boil Water Advisory

Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 6:30 PM

By Rob Holt, Utility Office Manager

East of Michigan Road

Due to a water main break, the City of Madison Water & Sewage Dept has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the customers that experienced low to no water pressure in the Miles Ridge subdivision.  This includes everything east of Michigan Road and south of Franks Drive on Twin Falls Drive, Hanna Drive, Forest Drive, Castor Lane, Bedford Falls, Woods Edge, Miles Ridge Road, Poplar Ridge, Oak Ridge, Quail Ridge, Laurel Lane, Golf Ridge and Sunset Court.

Those who experienced low to no water pressure are advised to boil water intended for consumption until further notice.  Water used for consumption must be boiled for 3-5 minutes.  For dishwashing in private residences, a few drops of bleach per gallon of water will also provide adequate disinfection.

The Water Department apologizes for any inconvenience this disruption may cause.
