(Switzerland County, Ind.) – Jeff-Craig Fire Department responded to a house fire on Wednesday morning.
Upon arriving at the home at the intersection of Pike and Arch streets, firefighters found heavy fire conditions in the basement.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire but due to multiple roofs of various types, they remained on scene until 11:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
A cause was not disclosed.
