Norton KDH CEO Carol Dozier named Board Chairwoman for the Indiana Hospital Association

Establishing priorities and future goals for the association.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indiana Hospital Association (IHA) has named Carol Dozier Board Chairwoman for 2023. Dozier has served as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Norton King’s Daughters’ Health (NKDH) since 2013. “Carol is a proven leader, and I am honored to work alongside her as we work together to improve Indiana’s health outcomes,” said Brian Tabor, IHA president. “I look forward to a successful year under her leadership.” As chairwoman, Dozier will oversee board meetings and play an active role in identifying and establishing priorities and future goals for the association. “It is an honor and privilege to be elected to serve as the IHA Board Chairwoman in 2023,” Dozier said. “I look forward to finding solutions to issues through partnerships and collaboration with the state. As Chairwoman, I will prioritize focusing on the health of Hoosiers and making meaningful changes to not only improve the quality of life for our citizens, but to reduce the need and overall cost of health care services. I look forward to finding new ways to ensure Indiana hospitals continue to provide access to quality care no matter where people live.” Under Dozier’s leadership, Norton KDH achieved the designation of Top 100 Rural Hospitals in America. In addition to her role at NKDH and her IHA Board service, Dozier serves on the Community Leaders Council for Hanover College and serves on the Ivy Tech College Campus Board as the Chairwoman. She was named the Laramie Chamber Businessperson of the Year in 2010 and the Laramie Economic Development Business Person of the Year in 2013 (Wyoming). She is a member of Rotary and Sigma Theta Tau International and has extensive experience in community service organizations. Prior to her role as president and CEO of Norton KDH, Dozier served as the CEO of Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyoming. She has been responsible for the construction of a new hospital and other major renovation projects, led financial turnarounds, and improved both the quality and experience of patient care. Dozier also taught classes at the Laramie County Community College in Wyoming Dozier obtained her undergraduate degree from Purdue University and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is married and has five children and six grandchildren.
