REMC Awards Over $56K in Operation Roundup Grants

27 organizations received funding.

(Osgood, Ind.) - Southeastern Indiana REMC is proud to announce the recipients of the second round of 2023 Operation RoundUp grants. These grants, totaling over $56,000, have been awarded to various community organizations to support their initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents in Southeastern Indiana.

Operation RoundUp grants were awarded on January 30, 2024, to the following organizations:

1. First Baptist Church Dillsboro - $2,500.00

2. Hogan Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 - $2,500.00

3. Dillsboro Arts Inc - $2,000.00

4. Beecher Presbyterian Church - $2,500.00

5. Southeastern IN Volleyball Club (SEIVB) - $2,000.00

6. St. Michael School - $500.00

7. St. Peter's Ladies Sodality - $300.00

8. Franklin County 4-H Association - $2,500.00

9. Jefferson County United Way, Inc - $2,500.00

10. Canaan Volunteer Fire Department - $2,500.00

11. Dupont Lancaster Township Volunteer Fire Company - $2,500.00

12. Vernon Baptist Church - $2,500.00

13. Rising Sun - Ohio County Schools - $1,800.00

14. Ohio County Historical Society - $500.00

15. New Horizons Rehabilitation - $2,500.00

16. Friends of Versailles State Park - $2,000.00

17. South Ripley Boys Basketball - $2,500.00

18. Versailles Baptist Church Community Dinners - $2,000.00

19. Cares Central - $2,500.00

20. Youth to Yellowstone - $2,500.00

21. Delaware Community Volunteer Fire Department - $2,500.00

22. Milan Lions Club - $2,500.00

23. Tyson Library Association - $1,500.00

24. Ignite Church - $2,000.00

25. Delaware Community Church Fishes/Loaves Pantry - $2,000.00

26. Versailles Volunteer Fire Department - $2,000.00

27. Crossroads Wesleyan Church - $2,500.00

"These grants reflect Southeastern Indiana REMC's commitment to supporting the communities we serve," said B.J. Myers, Vice President of Communications and Creative Services at Southeastern Indiana REMC. "We are honored to partner with these outstanding organizations to make a positive impact on the lives of our members and neighbors."

Operation RoundUp allows Southeastern Indiana REMC members to voluntarily "round up" their electric bills to the next dollar, with the proceeds going toward community grants like these. Through this program, small change adds up to make a big difference in the community.
