With no delays the roadway will be open in late February
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation contractor GeoStabilization International plans to close a section of S.R. 250 on or after Wednesday, Jan. 5, to complete slide repair work in Jefferson County. The slide is located between the S.R. 62/S.R. 250 split and Graham Road, west of Canaan.
State Road 250 is expected to close for approximately seven weeks, through late February, while the contractor stabilizes the roadway with soil nails and shotcrete. Guardrail installation will follow. The official detour route for the closure uses U.S. 421 and S.R. 62.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free in and near all construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
