Road will be closed for 45 days
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Paul H Rohe Company, Inc. plans to close S.R. 7 next week just south of S.R. 62 for a small structure replacement project in Jefferson County.
On or after Tuesday, September 5, S.R. 7 will close to traffic for up to 45 days, approximately half a mile south of S.R. 62 near Deans Branch. Traffic will be routed along the official detour, which follows S.R. 62 (Clifty Drive) to U.S. 421. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
The contract was awarded to Paul H. Rohe Company, Inc. in March and is scheduled for completion by the end of November. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
