On Tuesday, April 2nd the Madison Fire Department responded to Vehicle Services Group (VSG) for the initial report of a water flow alarm in the rear of Plant 1 for a fire in part of the air filtration system.

At approximately 5:38pm on Friday April 5th MFD units responded to a water flow alarm at 2700 Lanier Drive (VSG) Plant #2.

Upon arrival MFD units found dark smoke coming from the Northeast corner of the building. It was quickly determined that a paint booth and other equipment were involved.

The sprinkler system limited fire spread and MFD personnel extinguished the areas the sprinkler could not reach.

The building was ventilated and checked for any fire extension. MFD units were on scene for approximately 2 hours.
