Crash under investigation
On June 30,2024, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle roll over collision on W Deputy Pike Road between N County Road 300 W and N Borcherding Road.
The passenger of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was airlift to University of Louisville Hospital with serious bodily injuries.
Indiana State Police was requested to the scene to do a reconstruction of the collision.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
