WOMEN ATTEMPTING TO TRAFFIC DRUGS INTO JAIL ARRESTED

Attempted trafficking of controlled substances into the Jennings County Jail.

In early November 2021, Detectives from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into attempted trafficking of controlled substances into the Jennings County Jail. On December 2nd, 2021, the investigation concluded when Deputies from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jenna S. McGinnis (45 of St. Paul Indiana).

McGinnis is accused of attempting to traffic an estimated 8 grams of a controlled substance into the Jennings County Jail by transferring it to an inmate at the Jennings County Courthouse. Detectives were able to intercept the drugs and McGinnis before the transfer occurred.

The investigation continues and more arrests are expected in this case.

McGinnis is preliminary charged with:

Conspiracy to deal a level three controlled substance- L4 Felony

Trafficking-L6 Felony

Possession of a controlled substance- L6 Felony

Forgery- L6 Felony

Sheriff Freeman makes the safety of the inmates at the Jennings County Jail a priority and will continue to locate and arrest people who attempt to traffic drugs into the Jennings County Jail.
