FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th:

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL:

Switzerland Co. picked up their 5th win of the season and clinched their first non-losing season in the four-year history of their varsity program as they defeated South Decatur 41-7. Pacers now 3-0 in the Mid-Indiana Football Conference.

4A No. 5 Columbus East was too much for Madison as the Olympians defeat the Cubs 56-0

 

HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL:

After falling in the first two sets Shawe comes back to win the next three defeating Crothersville 3-2

 

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER:

Rising Sun and Southwestern tied 1-1 giving the Shinners the ORVC title

 

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS TENNIS:

Southwestern falls to Jennings Co. 4-1 and Madison falls to Greensburg 5-0 in the IHSAA Sectional Semi-finals at Greensburg

 

HANOVER COLLEGE ATHLETICS:

Women's Tennis over IUSE 5-4

 

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th:

HANOVER COLLEGE ATHLETICS:

Hanover Football moves to 2-0 in the HCAC and 2-2 on the year Noah Wezensky tosses five touchdowns and completed 24-of-35 passes for 229 yards in the Panthers 55-8 beating of Anderson. Hanover hosts Earlham on Saturday in Homecoming.

Men's Soccer opens HCAC play with a 3-0 victory over Manchester. Freshman Leonardo Bottura (Taubate, Sao Paulo, Brazil) scored twice for the Panthers.

Women's Soccer exploded for five first half goals en route to an 8-1 victory over Manchester in their Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opener. Panthers now 8-1 on the season.

 Hanover Volleyball opened Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play at Bluffton, falling on the road, 3-0. With the loss, HC's 27-match HCAC regular season win streak has come to an end. 

 Hanover Men's Cross Country team placed third overall in the 34-team Greater Louisville Classic held at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park. 

Hanover Women's Cross Country placed 14th at the 43-team Greater Louisville Classic. 

 

HIGH SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY:

Southwestern's boys win their 4th-straight ORVC boys cross country championship, Switzerland Co. was 3rd.. Rebel Bradley Winston was first overall.

After 22 years, South Ripley wins the ORVC girls cross country championship. Switzerland Co. was second and Southwestern 5th

Floyd Central won the girls HHC cross country championship while Madison finished 5th.

Jennings Co. won the boys HHC cross country championship with Madison finishing 8th

 

HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL:

Madison falls to Christian Academy of Indiana 3-0

 

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER:

Henry Co. over Carroll Co. 10-0

Seymour defeats Madison 3-1

 

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER:

Carroll Co. over Henry Co. 1-0

 

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th:

HANOVER COLLEGE ATHLETICS:

 Hanover volleyball team defeated conference-rival Defiance on the road, 3-0 

 Hanover men's golf team placed sixth at the DePauw (Ind.) Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic.

Hanover women's golf team placed fourth at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Preview
