Carroll Co. splits at Harrison Co. defeating Newport 8-4 but fell to Harrison Co. 13-1

Oldenburg Academy over Switzerland Co. 16-4

 

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL:

Switzerland Co. defeats South Ripley 9-1 in the conclusion of the game suspended due to rain last week.

 

KHSAA BASS FISHING TOURNAMENT:

Former Madison Cub,  Ryan Thurston made his Chicago Dogs debut on Saturday pitching two innings, giving up four hits, two walks, one earned run and struck out one batter as the Dogs defeated the South Shore Railcats in a exhibition game at Impact Field, 4-1.

    The Ohio Country Convention, Tourism, and Visitors Commission (Ohio County Tourism) is offering the covered shelter at the Visitors Center and outdoor side lot as a community space for a local Farmer's Market each Saturday, June 1 through September 29, 2019. The market will take place from 9 am to 2 pm. County residents who offer locally produced food products, flowers, and plants are invited to set up and sell their products outdoors at the Visitors Center at no charge. Space is available on a first come, first serve basis.
