IHSAA BASEBALL SECTIONAL:

3A @ Madison: Madison falls to Batesville 10-2

2A @ Switzerland Co.: Southwestern falls to South Ripley 10-0

Switzerland Co. makes a huge comeback after trailing 5-1 after 5, climb back with 5 runs in bottom of 6th to win it 6-5 over Austin. Switzerland County vs. South Ripley at 1 p.m. Monday for championship.

 

IHSAA BOYS TRACK REGIONAL:

Southwetern’s Mitchell Cline 4th Madison’s Daunte O'Banion 7th in 400 Meter Dash. Even though he placed 4th, Cline's time was good enough to send him to the state finals. 
Southwestern 12th and Madison 14th in the 4x400 Meter Relay, 
Switzerland County’s Zach Howlett 10th and Madison’s Otto Kling 13th in the Shot Put, Howlett 9th and Kling 10th in Discus. Madison’s Blaire Holt 9th in the 800 Meter Run, Gage Brewer 16th in the Long Jump, 
Southwestern’s Bradley Winston 11th in the 1600 Meter Run, 4x800 Meter Relay 16th

    Sentry Services, a program within LifeTime Resources, is excited to be able to offer the Volunteer Advocates for Seniors or Incapacitated Adult program in Jefferson County (VASIA). We are actively seeking local, caring, and compassionate people willing to give their time to help seniors or incapacitated adults have a greater quality of life. There are many different ways to serve as a VASIA volunteer: Visit clients at least once a month Accompany clients to medical appointments Send "thinking of you" cards Assist with applying for and maintaining benefits Support the program and staff by providing clerical support When you volunteer for the VASIA program, you will receive training on the role of an advocate and resources to assist the client as well as continued support and assistance of our processional staff.
