Area Sports Results From Tuesday, August 13th

High School Golf

Carroll Co boys golf picked up their 2nd win in a row as they beat Walton Verona 165-179. Panthers were led by Conner Hartman with a 39Josh Adams 40, Kennedy Daigle 42, and Adam Froman 44. 

 

Carroll Co. girls golf finished second in a tri-meet shooting 211. Walton-Verona won the meet with a 205 and Gallatin Co. third with a 240.

 

Southwestern girls golf pick-up a victory in a 3 team match with a score of 188.  Switzerland County finished with a score of 253, while Jac-Cen-Del finished with a score of 257.  Southwestern was led by Ellie Foley and Kristin Consley who were co-medalists with scores of 46.  Belle Crawford shot a 47, Bella Marcum shot a 49, and Salsa Brown rounded out the scores with a 52.  For Switzerland County, they were led by Hailey Hines who shot a 60, Lily Williams shot a 62, Annabelle Bear shot a 65, and Roi Ware added a 66.  Shawe Memorial's lone golfer, Bailey Kilgore, shot a 65. Jac-Cen-Del was led by Tracy McKittrick at 57, Annalise Boor 63, Chloe Strassell 67, and Courtney Grable 70

  • The Salvation Army Fine Arts- Fall Semester 2019

    5$ a semester to participate Registration forms and instrumental rental contracts must be completed before participating Sacred Ballet- Thursdays Mini-Mites (ages3-5) 4pm Beginner (ages6-8) 4:30pm Intermediate/advanced (ages 9-17) 5pm Dancers MUST have these items for class: Girls- ballet slippers, leotard, tutu/skirt, solid color tights Boy-solid color leggins, solid color tee, ballet slippers Ukulele Class- Thursdays 4pm (ages 8+) This is a great starter instrument for those interested in learning how to play guitar. It's also smaller in size, which helps younger students wanting to learn to play. Ukulele students must have these items per semester: Music/instrument/ rental instrument contract Private Music Lessons- Time individually scheduled (ages 8+) Private music lesson needs to have an interview to see if they are ready for lessons. American Legion Legacy Run makes its way to Madison

More than 200 motorcycles and over 300 riders, volunteers, workers help make this annual run a success. The Legacy Run supports the Legacy Scholarship which helps families of fallen soldiers and extremely disabled Veterans.
