Local IHSAA Girls Basketball Sectional Semi-Final Results From Friday, February 7th

KHSAA Regular Season Continues

IHSAA GIRLS BASKETBALL SECTIONAL SEMI-FINALS:

1A @ West Washington: West Washington over Shawe 56-21. Grace McCallister leads the Lady Hilltoppers with 11 points. Shawe ends their season at 8-15. West Washington will look to repeat as sectional champions Saturday as they take on #3 Trinity Lutheran who are looking for their first championship since 2018.

 

2A @ Switzerland Co.: South Ripley defeats Switzerland Co. 36-29. Josie Meyer 9, Kyah Chase 8 for the Lady Pacers. Switzerland Co. ends their season with a 15-9 record. South Ripley will go for their 4th sectional title in a row Saturday against #14 North Decatur who is looking for their first sectional title since 2009.

 

3A @ Charlestown: #5 Silver Creek over Madison 62-46. Jade Nutley 17 for the Lady Cubs. Madison ends their season with a 14-9 record. #5 Silver Creek will will be looking for their first sectional title since 2011 as they go against #1 Salem who looks to pick up their 3rd sectional title in a row on Saturday. 

 

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL:

Trimble Co. fall to Walton-Verona 72-59. Reece Webster 19 Dylan Jennings 15 for the Raiders

Whitefield Academy defeats Carroll Co. 70-67.

 

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL:

North Oldham defeats Trimble Co. 72-53. Shelby Wilcoxson 30 for the Lady Raiders

Carroll Co. falls to Williamstown 51-48
