GOLF:
Southwestern Boy's Golf finished tied for 8th place out of 16 teams, shooting a team score of 368. Landon True (Madison) was the Medalist with a 74. Wayde Barker led the way for Southwestern with an 88, Jackson Taylor 90, Wyatt Barker 91, Blake Boley 99, and Adam Boley 107.
While we had a slow start and a few misses to make up over the round, overall we had a very good day dropping a number of strokes from our team average in 2023. We are looking forward to continuing to improve that team score as the season progresses.

Shawe Memorial returned home for a non conference game vs Christian Academy Saturday and the fans were treated to “extra baseball “. Unfortunately the Hilltoppers dropped a 3-2 pitcher’s duel. Philip Kahn started the game and recorded 27 outs. He struck out 9and allowed only 3 earned runs and no walks in 9 innings. Shawe’s offense only managed 5 hits and 2 runs. Jacob Hertz led the way with 3 singles. Tyler Hill added an RBI double and single.
