Hanover College Football Lands at No. 22 in Lindy's Sports College Football Preseason Poll

The 2020 Lindy's Sports College Football Preview Magazine has recently released its NCAA Division III top 25 poll with the Hanover Panthers landing 22nd overall. The magazine is available for purchase on newsstands nationwide.

Hanover is the only Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference school to be featured as part of the Lindy's Sports Preseason Poll. The 2019 campaign, under the guidance of head coach Matt Theobald, saw the Blue and Red post an unblemished 7-0 mark in HCAC action while claiming the program its second consecutive Conference title.

Hanover also advanced to their second consecutive NCAA Playoff berth after finishing the regular season at 9-1 overall. They ranked among the nation's best in red zone defense, while also leading the HCAC in several defensive categories.

Offensively, Hanover returns top running back senior Shawn Coane (Evansville, Ind.). Coane finished the 2019 season ranked among the best in the nation in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, and rushing yards per game. He was a key component of an offense that averaged 37.9 points per game while totaling 435.5 yards per contest.

Hanover is slated to open the 2020 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 5 at Centre.
