Monday, January 24

Boys Basketball

Trimble County boys games against South Oldham, Dayton, and Montgomery County have been canceled. The next scheduled games will be Carroll County on February 2.

Girls Basketball

Shawe girls fell to Milan on Monday, January 25 with a final score of 45 to 34. The Hilltoppers are now 1 and 7 overall.

Carroll County girls fell 64 to 38 against South Oldham on Monday. This loss ended their two-game winning streak putting them at 3 and 6 in the season.

Tuesday, January 25

Girls Basketball

Shawe girls picked up their second win of the season over Christian Academy of Indiana with a final score of 35 to 21. Abigail Hill led the Hilltoppers with 14 points, Autumn Lathrem scored 10 points. With this win, Shawe ladies moved to 2 – 6 in their season.

The Madison Lady Cubs beat North Harrison on Tuesday with a final score of 60 to 48. Jade Nutley lead the Cubs with 21 points, 9 rebounds, Lundun Perry scored 20 points and had 5 assists. With this win, Madison moved to 10 – 10 in the season.

The Lady Cubs JV team won 46 to 33 against North Harrison. Mary Johnson lead the Cubs with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Breck Ralston and Alaina Kelley had 8 points each.

The Southwestern Lady Rebels beat South Decatur 45 to 28.

The Lady Raiders fell to Owen County 58 to 26. Shelby Wilcoxson lead the Raiders with 12 points, Emma Ginn had 6 points, Payton Butters had 5 points, Emma Horn had 2 points, and Addison Edmondson had 1 point.

Congratulations to Madison’s Jade Nutley, on Tuesday she signed with Indiana Wesleyan University to continue her basketball career.

Congratulations to Jac-Cen-Del’s Paige Ledford on being only the 13th person in the state of Indiana to have 1000 career points and 1000 rebounds in her career.

Swimming

Southwestern closed out their swim season against Scottsburg. The boys won with the final cumulative score of 34 – 17, the girls lost 68 – 50.

The boy's individual winners were:

  • Caleb Geary 200 Free and 100 Breast
  • Ethan Besse 50 Free and 100 Back
  • Andrew Stoner 100 Free

Girls individual winners:

  • Amiah Owen 200 IM
  • Julia Worcester 100 Fly and 50 Free
  • Belle Crawford 100 Free
  • 200 Medley Relay

Wednesday, January 26

Christian Academy of Madison’s boys’ basketball brought home a win yesterday against Assumption Academy with the final score of 49 to 43. The Defenders are now 11 – 7 in the season.

Christian Academy also announced that the next three boys’ basketball games have been canceled due to COVID-19. Those games: Friday, Jan. 29 home vs. Union (Dugger), Saturday, Jan. 30 at Evansville Christian, Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Cornerstone.
